Who is Christian Sifford, GIT?
Christian earned his bachelor’s degree in geology with a focus on slope stability from Portland State University in 2019. He started at MFA as a field technician as part of the cleanup of the properties affected by the 2020 wildfires. Christian is now a staff geologist based out of Bellingham, Washington. His work includes conducting soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling; installing and developing groundwater monitoring wells; research and allocation support for environmental site history; drilling and excavation oversight; surveying hazardous building materials; and preparing environmental reports.
In his free time, Christian enjoys backcountry Nordic skiing at Mount Baker, kayaking in Bellingham Bay, and off-roading with his dog Merle in the passenger seat.
