Land Acknowledgement

Our office locations occupy the traditional lands of 20 tribes. Native people have made their homes on these lands for thousands of years. We recognize that Native communities continue to live and work on these lands and acknowledge all Native communities, past, present, and future.

MFA recognizes that Native communities were removed from this land because of systemic policies of genocide, relocation, and assimilation and that these policies still impact Native Americans today. As settlers and guests on these lands we respect the work of Native communities, leaders, and families and we are committed to recognize Native knowledge and resilience.

The Lake Oswego, Oregon, office of MFA, sits on the original homelands of the Atfalati, Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians, and Kalapuya.
