Who is Michael Murray, RG, LHG?

Michael has over 17 years of environmental consulting and scientific research experience. He manages and leads highly technical work in projects across the Pacific Northwest. He currently serves as the program manager for a high-profile client involved in the Portland Harbor Superfund site. Michael provides contaminant characterization, permitting, regulatory compliance, data analysis, and allocation support services to a wide range of clients from municipalities, to ports, to industry.

He has extensive experience characterizing environmental media—including soil, groundwater, stormwater, sediment, surface water, drinking water, wastewater, and soil vapor—with contaminant impacts ranging from volatile organic compounds to bioaccumulative chemicals. His technical background includes groundwater-system analysis, chemical data analysis, statistical analysis, risk assessment, instrumentation studies, and contaminant fate and transport. He is experienced in creating and executing models using advanced software packages such as MATLAB. In his six years of experience in oceanographic research, Michael gained an extensive background in advanced data analysis and management of complex field instrumentation deployments in remote locations around the world.
