Who is Kerensa Gimre, MPhil, MS?

Kerensa Gimre is an economist with seven years of experience in climate change policy analysis, environmental economics, energy economics, sustainability, renewable energy technology, and environmental law. She is an expert in environmental justice, economic impact analysis, and the intersections between international environmental law and human rights law.

Her recent projects have analyzed the effectiveness of incentives for electric vehicle adoption, the socioeconomic impacts of electric vehicle batteries, the economic impacts of carbon reduction rules (including cap and trade or carbon taxes) on operations within the private sector, as well as the economic impacts of potential rules within the energy industry and impact assessments prepared by regulatory agencies. Working with environmental nonprofits, Kerensa has assisted in analyses of policy schemes to reduce black carbon emissions in the State of Oregon and development of carbon calculator tools for emission offset credits.
