Who is Josh D. Schane?

Mr. Schane has five years of experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems science and geospatial data management. His GIS-related duties at MFA have included contaminant interpolation studies, Phase I and Phase II site investigations, and development of conceptual planning exercises and exhibits. Mr. Schane excels in producing professional map products, interpreting spatial data, and developing powerful visualizations. Mr. Schane’s educational background includes a BA in environmental geography, with an emphasis in GIS. He is currently pursuing an MS in geography. His years of work experience and educational background allow him to work effectively on a variety of projects. Mr. Schane also has Webmapping experience in ArcGIS Online/Collector that allows him to create custom applications for use on the Web and mobile devices.

Mr. Schane’s GIS capabilities include aerial imagery interpretation, geodatabase design and management, geospatial analysis, data overlay techniques, global positioning system data gathering and manipulation, digital terrain modeling, cartography, and interpolation processes and raster classification.
