Who is Daniel Eisenbeis?
Dan has two decades of experience in the fields of planning, policy analysis, and government relations. Prior to working at MFA, he held positions with the League of Oregon Cities, City of Portland, and Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development, among other organizations. He is known for his attentive listening, collaboration with clients, clear communication, insightful analysis, and effective project management.
Dan frequently collaborates with a diverse array of public, private, and nonprofit stakeholders and officials. He managed and served on numerous policy development committees to inform state administrative rulemakings, legislative proposals, and municipal planning projects. He has worked to pass state legislation aimed at infrastructure, community development, and municipal finance policy; secured reauthorization of tax credits for housing and economic development; and successfully advocated for recapitalization of municipal infrastructure funds. His technical background includes analyzing aerial imagery to create land cover and land use data to facilitate integration of transportation and natural resource planning between state agencies. In 2014, he was awarded a German Chancellor Fellowship to examine brownfield and redevelopment policies.
Dan was born and raised in Oregon and calls Milwaukie home. Outside of work, he enjoys fatherhood, gardening, travel, exploring, and coffee.
