Who is Connor Anderson?

In college, Connor discovered he could use science and his geologic knowledge to help improve the surrounding communities and their relationship with the natural environment. After graduating with a degree in Earth Sciences, Connor conducted environmental fieldwork for the 2020-2021 Oregon wildfire cleanup project, led by the Oregon Department of Transportation, where he aided in asbestos surveys, air monitoring, and soil testing for heavy metals at properties affected by the fire. Since joining MFA, Connor’s geologic expertise has expanded to environmental investigation and remedial projects, hazardous building material surveys, drilling and well installation oversight, and storm and wastewater sampling.

In his spare time, you can find Connor braving the elements outdoors or sheltering from them indoors. Outside, he enjoys climbing rocks, running trails, and expanding his mineral collection by exploring new places. Inside, Connor often finds himself climbing walls, reading, or deep in thought, piecing together puzzles.
