Who is Colton Archer?

For more than 20 years, Colton has worked in the ever-changing world of technology. He has worked in both the public and private sectors and served in many roles throughout his career. Colton prides himself in his ability to solve complex problems, find innovative solutions, and deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external personnel. During his career, he has been involved in and has led many large and complex IT projects involving multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

Colton got his start in technology at a young age and taught himself to program in MS BASIC, Pascal, and C++. However, it took him some time to recognize the career path he was destined to follow. After working in both retail management and emergency services, he took on a role as a corporate support technology specialist at U.S. Bancorp. It was then that Colton realized his passion for technology and desire to become a lifetime learner in this field. Colton went back to school as an adult learner and received his undergraduate degree in information technology while working full time and raising four children. After working at the Port of Portland and taking on more leadership responsibilities, Colton went back to school to obtain his master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in computer information systems. This allowed him to combine his leadership skills with his technological savvy in order to enhance operations.

In his personal life, Colton enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, woodworking, pretty much all sports, and searching for investment properties.
