Who is Charla Skaggs?

Charla has been assisting public agencies and other organizations with effective communication for more than 25 years. Having served as a staff member at the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, the Washington Public Ports Association, the Russell Investment Group, and other organizations, Charla draws on decades of experience to help clients navigate projects that live in the intersection of political, community, business, and regulatory considerations. Charla has spent the bulk of her career working at or for public agencies, and she is a believer in the importance of genuine, effective outreach in building and maintaining support for an agency’s ability to serve their constituents She is a seasoned communicator with significant experience in developing and executing communications plans designed to mitigate potential political or legal risk to large agencies. She has also been involved in multiple public agency strategic planning exercises, both as an agency staff member and as a consultant.
