Who is Andrew Vidourek, RG, LG?
Andrew’s responsibilities as a project geologist include project management and oversight of Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments; conducting hydrogeologic assessments and designing hydrodynamic isolation and remediation systems; conducting remedial investigations, feasibility studies, beneficial land and water use evaluations, and regulatory compliance activities to include preparation and management of construction and general stormwater permits and landfill closure permits; and managing data. Andrew has used a wide range of techniques to efficiently collect soil, soil vapor, air, groundwater, surface water, and sediment samples that yield high-quality data. He oversees exploratory drilling, well installation, well decommissioning, infiltration testing, test pit excavations, and construction projects. His construction project management experience includes earthwork, pump station design, engineered shoring, landscaping, irrigation systems, and stormwater systems for residential yard remediation, industrial site improvements, and installation of turf-grass ballfields and golf courses. This extensive field experience informs work products such as site-specific health and safety plans, cost estimates, and sampling and analysis plans.
Andrew has 19 years of experience in the Oregon Army National Guard, including 15 years as an engineer officer. He has held several positions, including company command during a combat tour of duty in Baghdad, Iraq, from 2009 to 2010 and company command during a combat tour of duty in Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq from 2014 to 2015. Andrew has been a battalion commander of a construction engineer battalion from 2018 to present. Andrew was the honor graduate of Officer Candidate School Class 47, Oregon Military Academy in August 2004 and the honor graduate of Engineer Officer Basic Course Class 03-06, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, May 2006. Andrew has been awarded the 2011 General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award; the Bronze Star Medal; the Meritorious Service Medal; and the Combat Action Badge, awarded by the U.S. Army.
