Who is Alex Brasch?

Mr. Brasch has four years of experience in the geospatial and environmental fields. His educational background includes a BA in Human Geography and Environmental Studies, and continued education in relational database software.

Mr. Brasch regularly employs ArcGIS and relational databases to create a comprehensive understanding of the spatial relationships among existing and proposed resources. His GIS capabilities include geospatial data analysis, cartographic design, aerial imagery interpretation, and database design and management. Mr. Brasch frequently uses ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, and MS Access in tandem in order to store, manage, analyze, and present project data in formats such as reports, pivot tables, graphs, queries, and figures. He also has experience with data collection technologies such as Trimble GPS devices, TerraSync, Pathfinder Office, ArcGIS Online, Collector for ArcGIS, and ArcPad.

Mr. Brasch has successfully employed GIS and GPS technologies in site restoration and monitoring studies, transmission line routing and siting projects, wind energy feasibility studies, natural resource inventories and assessments, wetland delineations, and wildlife ecology studies. His GIS-related duties at MFA include mapping and data analysis for Phase I and Phase II site investigations, as well as data creation and management for remediation and monitoring projects.
