I've always been struck by the importance of place and how it permeates through our lives, affecting social and cultural ties, education systems, politics, economies, and human-environment interactions. Poring over data on populations and geography is one of my passions, and I find it extremely rewarding to be able to channel the results into useful tools and visualizations that help communities improve systems and better plan for the future.
