Who is Alan R. Hughes, RG, LG, PG?

Alan has 23 years (1998) of experience in environmental consulting in the Pacific Northwest. He is recognized for his ability to successfully execute efficient and effective projects from environmental investigations to cleanup action plans. He has experience in site assessments and remediation of wood-treating facilities, pesticide sites, metallurgical mine and mills sites, chlorinated-solvent sites, solid waste sites, refineries, petroleum-contaminated sites, dry cleaning facilities, and other hazardous waste sites.

Alan currently is the program manager for multiple large investigations and remedial designs supporting remediation of basin-wide impacts related to historical mining operations in northern Idaho. He has in-depth knowledge of Washington and Oregon environmental regulations and experience in negotiation with state and federal agencies. Alan has successfully negotiated focused and cost-effective approaches to site investigation, risk assessment, and remedy selection with oversight agencies, resulting in significant client benefits while meeting regulatory requirements.
