Workshop: Contaminated Properties – A Development Perspective

On Thursday September 22, MFA is hosting a workshop designed to provide the latest information on key stages of brownfield redevelopment. This workshop will begin with a buffet breakfast at 7:30, followed by a presentation at 8:00 on “Perspectives on Today’s Real Estate Market” by Kevin Kaufman of CBRE.

An expert panel will then use a case study approach to discuss the key stages involved in developing a contaminated site, including: Opportunity Identification, Due Diligence/Visioning, Purchase & Sale, Remediation & Construction, and Exit Strategy/End Use. Panel members include – Moderator: Jim Maul, Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc. and Speakers: Seth Hudson, Weston Solutions Inc.; Doug MacCourt, Ater Wynne LLP; Ed Morales, Sterling Savings Bank; Kate Porsche, City of Albany; and Ted Wall, Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc.

MFA is joining the Oregon Brownfields Forum, Northwest Environmental Business Council, and the Urban Land Institute in sponsoring this workshop.
