Thomas Mullen Appointed to Idaho Board of Registration for Professional Geologists

Thomas Mullen, PG, senior hydrogeologist at Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc. (MFA), has officially been appointed by the governor’s office to the Idaho Board of Registration for Professional Geologists. The board’s mission statement is “to help safeguard life, health, and property, and to promote the public welfare through the registration and regulation of geologists in Idaho.”

Mullen’s duties as a member of the board will include participating in any review or changes to administrative rules, such as adopting and amending rules of ethics and standards of conduct, and participating in the administration of the Idaho Professional Geologists Act. He will also be reviewing licensure applications, reviewing and making decisions on complaints to the board, and reviewing and determining disciplinary action when needed under the laws and rules pertaining to the practice of geology in Idaho.
