New Employees Join MFA in May and June

Naomi Friberg
Naomi joins MFA as an accounting assistant working out of the Vancouver office. She has several years of experience in administration work and is finishing her bachelor’s degree in accounting at Washington State University. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
Ruby Barrera
Ruby is our planning and communications intern this summer working from the Portland office. She recently graduated from the University of Portland with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and sociology and is excited to work on projects related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; community engagement; and environmental justice. In her spare time, she enjoys making jewelry and rugs.
Matthew McCullough
Matthew has a bachelor’s degree in geology and joins MFA as a staff geologist based in the Seattle office. He is excited to work on unique projects throughout the Puget Sound while making a positive impact. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and film photography.
Garrett Augustyn
Garrett joins the MFA team as a staff planner working out of the Portland office. He brings three years of experience in transportation and environmental planning. He is excited to be involved with the land reclamation process that helps restore communities and the environment. In his free time, Garrett enjoys playing sports, music, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Nicholas Mirra
Nicholas brings ten years of communications and public engagement experience to MFA, where he joins the Seattle office as a project communications specialist. He has deep transportation and construction outreach experience and is excited to support MFA’s multidisciplinary project teams. A Tacoma native, he also enjoys ultimate frisbee, creative writing, and the hope-deflation machine that is the Seattle Mariners.
Angie Jenkins
Angie joins MFA as an accounting specialist working out of the Vancouver office. She lives in Dallesport, Washington, and enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Montana in political science/public administration, and has experience in banking, finance, and taxes. Angie is excited to be working with such a great team at MFA!
