MFA Staff to Present at Managing Stormwater in Oregon Conference

Managing Stormwater in OregonMaul Foster & Alongi staff will be hosting two presentations at this year’s NEBC Managing Stormwater in Oregon Conference on May 21. Stormwater expert, Ada Banasik, will share her experiences in implementing effective and economical stormwater solutions for Pacific Northwest industries. You can also check out the presentations during Session 2B Green Infrastructure & Volume Reduction Strategies and Session 4A Tier II Action – Moving to Treatment.

Session 2B Green Infrastructure & Volume Reduction Strategies (11:15 AM – 12:30 PM): Learn how to avoid or respond to a Tier II corrective action by implementing green infrastructure or low impact development (LID) to reduce the volume of stormwater (and stormwater pollutants) discharged from your site, including the applicability of the Tier II volume reduction waiver. Ada Banasik, PE will present a case study outlining the benefits and constraints of stormwater infiltration at an industrial facility and remediated brownfield.

Session 4A Tier II Action – Moving to Treatment (3:45 PM – 5:00 PM): This session will explore the Tier II process step-by-step, including the available options, Tier II submittal, design and permitting. Lia Ovelar, PE will present a case study describing the evaluation and selection of Tier II source control and treatment measures at an industrial facility.
