Meet the newest additions to the MFA team!

Amy DeVita-McBride, a staff engineer based in our Portland office, focuses on air quality work. Amy is a recent graduate with a master’s in environmental engineering from PSU and a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the University of Southern California. She is putting her attention to detail and research skills to work to serve our industrial clients on air-related issues.

Brian Tino is a staff engineer with previous consulting experience. Brian is HAZWOPER-trained, an engineer in training, and a certified erosion and sediment control lead. He is excited about working on MFA’s stormwater projects and employing his master of science in sustainable design from Philadelphia University and his bachelor’s in civil/environmental engineering from Bucknell.

Elliot Frank, a GIS technician, comes to us from the Big Apple, where he worked as a GIS aide at the New York City Department of Transportation, honing his skills in spatial analysis, data management, modeling, and visualization. Elliot’s home base is MFA’s Seattle office, and he works primarily with our local government-sector clients.

Jennifer Elstrott joins us in the Portland office as a GIS technician. Jennifer brings to MFA a wealth of experience gained from her master’s degree in environmental science and policy, a graduate certificate in GIS, and her work in the NGO, private, and utility sectors. She lends her excellent skills to a diverse range of projects—skills in advanced spatial analysis and modeling, geodatabase design and management, web mapping application design, automating analysis workflows, and cartography.

Kelly LaFave rejoins us as an administrator, helping MFA run smoothly. Kelly originally joined MFA in 2011 and was a key member of the administrative team until she left in 2013 to pursue other adventures. We are excited to have her back!

Matt Hoffman joins us in Seattle as a senior planner. Matt has a master’s in urban planning from UW, as well as two bachelor’s degrees from Michigan State, one in finance and one in environmental studies. He was previously employed at Heartland, one of our partners, where he worked with us on a few different projects, including Spokane University District-Hillyard, Seaport, and Grants Pass. Matt’s experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors supports our clients in the redevelopment of their assets.

MFA is always interested in potential candidates to join the talented individuals who make up our team. For current job openings, please see our online application system.
