Growth at MFA Continues with Eight New Hires

Growth at MFA continues in support of our diverse services. Our team has welcomed eight new professionals that strongly demonstrate MFA’s values of innovation, collaboration, agility, respect, and excellence. Welcome to the team!

Ryan Lewis

Ryan took a brief sabbatical from MFA and returned in October. We are excited to have him back in the Portland office as a project engineer!

Andrea Hlatky

Andrea has a degree in environmental engineering and joins MFA as a staff engineer in Kellogg. She has over four years of experience supporting Superfund project work, with a primary focus in civil hydraulic systems design and wastewater treatment.

Derek Heitz

Derek has a degree in environmental geology and has seven years of experience in stormwater and process water compliance and treatment. He has worked alongside MFA consultants in the past and joins us as a project environmental scientist in Seattle.

Makenzie (ZZ) Lundburg

ZZ joined MFA after volunteering with AmeriCorps at Clark Public Utilities. She holds a degree in creative writing and a minor in environmental science and policy. ZZ is a staff communications specialist based in our Portland office.

Katelyn Hall

Katelyn received her Bachelor of English from the University of California, Berkeley. She has over four years of experience in AEC marketing, dealing with content creation, campaigns, and business development. She joins MFA as a proposal specialist and is based out of Portland.

Rebecca Wright

Rebecca joins us as a project planner after nearly a decade working in the education sector at the school, school district, and state levels. She has a BS in Education and a Master of Public Policy in K–12 Education Policy.

Will Terry

Will has a PhD in Political Science from UC San Diego and was a professor at the University of Oregon. Formerly, Dr. Terry was a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University and a tax analyst at the U.S. Congressional Budget Office. He joins our Portland office as a data analyst.

Rachel Philbrook

Rachel joins us as a recruiting and onboarding specialist after working in the HR/AEC realm for the last eight years. She has a BA in Hospitality/Business Administration with a minor in Women’s Studies from Washington State University.
