MFA Cyclists Put the Pedal to the Metal for Bike More Challenge
MFA’s participation in this year’s Bike More Challenge was a great success! The Bike More Challenge—a program started by the nonprofit organization The Street Trust to encourage people to ride bikes—inspires fun and friendly competition between colleagues and companies by awarding points for miles ridden, consecutive trips taken, and encouraging others to ride their bikes for their commutes or for fun.
In May, 22 MFA staff (up from 12 staff during the 2018 challenge) logged 3,363 miles on their bicycles. According to the Bike More Challenge’s calculations, the MFA team’s participation saved 1,280 pounds of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere by riding bikes instead of driving cars. When all the points for our team were tallied, we placed 3rd out of 18 firms in our category of consulting firms with 50 to 199 staff.
Some of our colleagues who participated in the Bike More Challenge shared photos of their beautiful commutes to work.
