Incremental Sediment Sampling
Client: Astoria Marine Construction Company
Location: Astoria, OR
MFA used incremental sampling methodology to effectively characterize concentrations over
a large area while minimizing cost. Site-specific sediment core samplers were fabricated to
achieve retrieval of consistent volumes of sample increments from up to 20 feet below
water surface. The results were used to characterize human health and ecological risk
and delineate remedial action areas.
