The Coeur d’Alene Trust Groundwater/Surface Water Evaluations

Location: Silver Valley, ID
MFA deployed high-resolution thermal sensing instrumentation to understand surface water and groundwater interactions along a 1.5-mile stream segment. The data gathered identified areas in which surface water was discharging to groundwater, allowing resources to be focused in those areas. Groundwater and surface water samples were collected in areas of discharge for robust contaminant loading analyses.
