Project Summary

Overlook Master Plan and Design - Ridgefield, Washington

Overlook Park represents the first-step in the revitalization of downtown Ridgefield, Washington. This historic town, overlooking Lake River and the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, was recently awarded construction for funding the park located at a key street intersection and gateway to the important Port of Ridgefield waterfront. MFA landscape architects designed the park for the Friends of Overlook Park who spearheaded the fund raising effort. Elements of local history – Native American and19th century exploration - will be highlighted in the park’s design, materials, and artwork. A plaza and stage will host concerts, performances and festivals, while leafy, grassy open spaces will offer quiet relaxation with views toward the Columbia River.
