MICHAEL MURRAY, RG
Project Environmental Scientist
Education:
Master of Environmental Management, Portland State University
Three Seas Marine Sciences Graduate Program, Northeastern University
Bachelor of Science in Physical Sciences; Chemistry, Math, and Geology, Portland State University
Mr. Murray has over 11 years of environmental science consulting experience. He has performed contaminant fate and transport modeling using several software packages, including MATLAB, Surfer, and Microsoft Excel, as well as other custom programs. Mr. Murray has also performed complex data analysis, statistical interpretation, data visualization, tabulation, data quality assurance/quality control, and software programming. His environmental background includes site-specific hydraulic studies, monitoring well installation and sampling, stormwater sampling, sediment pore water sampling, surface and subsurface soil sampling, river and lake sediment sampling, and geologic logging of subsurface materials and sediment. In his six years of experience as an oceanographic engineer, Mr. Murray gained extensive background in logistical support of remote location fieldwork using advanced in-water and overwater technologies. He has also performed numerous biological assessments of various damaged ecosystems, including coral reefs, mangrove stands, beaches, and wetlands. Mr. Murray’s current duties include reporting, data screening and analysis, instrumentation, various types of sampling, and equipment fabrication.
